Our WoNs are handmade for you by sewing workshops in Europe that we know personally. And at a super fair hourly wage. We produce our fabrics in the fair fashion stronghold of Portugal and in Turkey. We are in daily contact with our factories. This clearly sets us apart from the common practice in the fast fashion industry of producing in China under the exploitation of Muslim Uyghurs.
We develop our products ourselves from scratch—including the yarn, design, and pattern—so we do NOT buy from wholesalers, and you can only find our products at our store. We also avoid harmful substances such as polyester and rely on certified natural materials. So not just natural materials, but organic materials. It's a difference you can smell and feel. Wraps of Nature is a pioneer in sustainable fashion and launched the world's first organic headscarf in July 2024.
Conventional fashion on the market is only so cheap because it is manufactured in China under exploitative conditions by Muslim Uyghurs and purchased cheaply from wholesalers. Wraps of Nature, on the other hand, have their own designs and are manufactured in Europe at a fair hourly wage. By purchasing from Wraps of Nature, you are supporting a fair and socially just value creation process made in Europe. So you are investing in durability, freedom from harmful substances, and paying into your afterlife account.

Why polyester is not an option for us
Polyester is plastic. And plastic loses microplastics – when worn, washed, breathed. These particles end up in the environment, in our food, and now even in the human body. Microplastics have now been detected in the brain, the placenta, and even in breast milk. Added to this are chemical treatments with substances such as formaldehyde and PFAS ("forever chemicals"), which accumulate and are associated with health risks.
We believe thatplastic has no place on the skin or in the environment.
That's why Wraps of Nature consistently uses natural, certified materials—free from microplastics, free from unnecessary chemicals, and significantly better for people and the environment.
