I bought the balaclava in three different colors and wore it for the first time yesterday without a headscarf underneath. The fabric quality is really good. The fabric feels pleasantly light on my head. However, you still sweat a little underneath it.
Unfortunately, after about half an hour, the balaclava started to come loose at the front of my head and kept slipping. I had to keep adjusting it and making sure no hair was showing.
Of course, everyone's head is different, and the fit can vary from person to person. Unfortunately, that meant it wasn't very comfortable for me. That's why I'm giving it 2 stars.
