Ultra Light Hijab made of Lyocell & Smartcell "Vayla" (Earth)

I never would have thought that I’d love both styles this much. Coconut and Earth are both gorgeous. They drape gently, don’t stick to the skin even in the summer heat, and the new Lyocell “Chiffon” feels as light as a feather on my head—like a gentle breeze. For me, it’s the perfect summer hijab. 🤍

The fabric is so wonderfully soft and thin—it feels like a hug. I like to wear it at home, too.

The Vayla in Coconut is extremely light, soft, and flowing. The fabric is so delicate and thin that it’s naturally a bit sheer in white, but thanks to its truly generous size, it can easily be worn double-layered. At 5’6”, it reaches my calves when worn single-layered. I especially love how it drapes and hugs the body. It’s very comfortable to wear and looks elegant and natural. For me, it was a perfect fit.

When I held both hijabs in my hands—one made of cotton and the other of Lyocell—I noticed the difference right away. 😳 To be honest, I was really surprised. The Lyocell one just feels so cool. I had to touch it several times because I could hardly believe it. 🤯 It’s just perfect for summer! ☀️

You can even wear it without an undercap because it’s not nearly as see-through as I would have thought. The only thing is that it slips around a bit on me. You could probably tie it a little tighter, but personally, I’d be a little worried that the fabric might tear—I don’t know how tear-resistant Lyocell is. 😅 But with an undercap, that shouldn’t be a problem anyway.

I ordered the Vayla to go with my abaya because the colors match really well. I never expected, though, that I wouldn't want to take it off. It's very thin and light, so you can barely feel it. Plus, it's opaque and breathable. A real summer must-have.

First and foremost, this hijab has really won my heart. The fabric is incredibly soft and super comfortable to wear. The color is also delicate and beautiful. The size itself is quite interesting at 180 x 200 cm—you can wear it in so many different styles, whether as a square headscarf or as a hijab. Overall, it’s incredibly versatile, and you can really let your creativity run wild.
One thing I’ve noticed is that the hijab is quite sheer, which sometimes shows through too much when worn over dark clothing, making the hijab’s color less noticeable. And unfortunately, the fabric isn’t very forgiving—because of the very fine weave, holes form very quickly, which, at this price, is even more disappointing than it already is. Patching this fabric is also very difficult—or rather, any repairs are immediately noticeable.
It’s a dream for special occasions and beautiful summer days, but you definitely need to know how to wear it and when.
I would really, really love to see this hijab made with a slightly sturdier yarn.

For me, Vayla is the best hijab in the Ultra Light collection. They all have their merits, but Vayla isn’t just cool and light on the head—it’s also a sensory delight. So smooth, soft, and flowing. With the current temperatures, it’s always a pleasant choice 🥰

A light, airy fabric—perfect for warm days. And a color I’ve been hoping for for a long time.
However, the measurements are very impractical for me—the length is ideal.
But the width means you either have to wear the hijab “around the shoulders” or end up with a lot of fabric around your neck. Unfortunately, that takes away from the lightness I was hoping for.
