Shipping from Wednesday, July 2. Items that are ordered together with the Maya Abaya will be shipped collectively from Wednesday.
I purchased a green Maya abaya from Wraps of Nature less than a month ago, and unfortunately it is defective. The garment is torn and already falling apart at the seams. I reached out directly to the company and was offered either a €15 contribution toward a tailor's repair or a 40% discount on a new purchase.
While I appreciate that sellers have the right to offer a remedy, in this case a repair is not a reasonable solution. I shared pictures showing a large hole in the seam and fraying in multiple areas. The material itself is tearing at the seams, which indicates a fundamental fault in the garment's quality. A repair would only provide a temporary fix, and I would remain concerned about the abaya coming apart completely in the near future.
Under EU consumer law, a refund is an appropriate remedy when repair or replacement is unreasonable or unworkable. For this reason, I requested a full refund and offered to return the defective item at the company's expense if they provided a return label and instructions.
I want to emphasize that I have enjoyed my other purchases from Wraps of Nature and would like to continue shopping here. I value their focus on sustainable, ethically sourced, natural fibers, and I recognize the challenges of finding consistent manufacturers. However, I do not find it ethical to sell a defective abaya and then not offer a resolution that upholds consumer rights.

The Maya Abaya looks really elegant in dark green. Especially in my opinion with the Sandy Ruby. A real eye-catcher. It makes me feel like Little Red Riding Hood in the forest with a matching dress in deep green. The dress has a lot of power in this shade, but is also beautifully simple. As always, I can only recommend it!
