I am really sad to be writing this review as I was very excited to receive my khimars! I ordered one olive green and one black khimar. The color, material, and customer service is great, as are the company ethics. I also received other items which I am happy with. However, I feel I have wasted 80 EUR on the khimars because they will not cover me properly and I cannot wear them outside again. Within two hours of leaving the house with the khimars tied tightly, they become loose and no longer cover. Either my ears, my neck, or my hair are exposed, whichever way I tie them. I wore the khimars out three times and each trip was very, very stressful. I constantly had to retie and readjust myself, and I couldn't move properly because moving would make the situation worse! On one trip, I almost went home because I was constantly uncovered; instead, I went into a store to retie it. Thankfully, I returned home soon after because by the time I got home, I was exposed again.
This is actually the first time I have worn a khimar (usually I wear hijabs), so if anyone can recommend a new way of tying the khimar that ensures full coverage I will happily change this review. However, at the moment, I can't work out a way to tie it that will ensure full coverage, so sadly I feel it is my obligation to warn other customers who want full coverage against buying this product.
I'm really sad to write this review because I was so looking forward to my Khimars! I ordered an olive green one and a black one. However, I feel like I wasted €80 on the khimars because they don't cover me properly and I can't wear them outside anymore. Within two hours of leaving the house with my khimars tied tightly, they come off and no longer cover me. Either my ears, neck or hair are free, no matter how I tie them. I've worn the khimars three times, and each trip was very, very tiring. I had to constantly retie and adjust them and couldn't move properly as any movement would have made the situation worse! On one trip I almost went home because I was constantly uncovered; instead I went to a store to have them retied. Luckily I was able to go home soon after because when I arrived back home my ears and neck were clear again.
This is my first time wearing a khimar (I usually wear hijabs). So if anyone can recommend me a new method of tying the khimar while still ensuring full coverage, I would love to update this review. However, I cannot currently think of a method that ensures full coverage. So, unfortunately, I have to advise other customers who want full coverage not to buy this product.
