What material is the burkini made of?
Our burkini is made from 85% recycled polyester (rPES) - obtained from recycled plastic bottles - and 15% elastane. This not only makes it sustainable, but also wonderfully light, stretchy and quick-drying. The fabric isOEKO-TEX®Standard 100 certified, which means it is free from harmful chemicals, skin-friendly and safe - even for sensitive skin. It also offers you tested UV protection with UPF 60 (UV STANDARD 801) and feels super comfortable even after hours in the water. Good for you - and good for the environment! 🌿✨

Such a great fabric and such wonderful colors 🫶🏻 a real burkini woNder 🌊 😍 For all the sisters who want to get the maximum coverage out of the Burkini Alora, here's my little trick: You slip into the kimono and then take the ribbon on the right side and put it around your hips UNDER the kimono. Then you take the ribbon on the left side and put it through the hole on the right side from the OUTSIDE and also put it around your hips on the INSIDE and then simply tie the ribbons together on the INSIDE.
So all you can see of the ribbons is the tiny piece that leads from the left side into the hole on the right side, the kimono hangs down loosely, you see NOTHING at all of the hips AND you gain another two to three centimeters on the legs because the kimono hangs down completely loose and is not "gathered" by the ribbon.
It's a bit of a fiddle to fasten the straps under the kimono, but you usually do that at home anyway, in a changing room or otherwise covered up.

Great fit and very comfortable
I bought the full bundle of the Alora in mauve and olive. Yesterday I tried out the Alora for swimming and diving in crystal clear mountain water and I am absolutely thrilled! Thanks to the UV protection, I was able to spend the whole day in the sun and was gently cooled by the close-fitting fabric. The cap fits very well even with my hair closed and, unlike conventional caps, doesn't slip. I tied the swim hijab under my chin at the front to give it even more support and create a different look. Everything is very high quality and lovingly finished. The fabric didn't pull any threads even when it came into contact with stones under water and nothing came undone or slipped even when diving. Thanks to the long straps, I tied the kimono around my waist several times to get the best hold. I didn't even notice it when I was swimming! Unlike my old burkini, Alora didn't stick to me when I got out of the water, but fell down loosely and airily and dried quickly in the sun. I didn't want to take it off at all! ♡ Allah bless the WoN team!
